At its core, integrated corridor management (ICM) is a proactive approach to managing a surface transportation corridor as a holistic, multimodal system. The approach is also extraordinarily complex, transcending the boundaries that typically separate traffic operations, emergency management, intelligent transportation systems (ITS), and other disciplines. When used effectively, it can significantly improve safety and mobility.
In short, ICM is a concept every transportation professional needs to understand — which is why Global-5, in consultation with Noblis, created a video for the U.S. Department of Transportation explaining for a wide audience ICM and its benefits.
“Our team crafted an informative, compelling story using a combination of interviews, narration, graphics, and animation,” said Mary Hamill, President and CEO of Global-5. “This video clearly explains its subject in an engaging, accessible way.”
The video, titled Integrated Corridor Management, was well received by transportation professionals across the country. It also won accolades from the marketing and communications industry. The video won a MarCom Gold Award and a Gold Davey Award, and was a Silver Winner in the NYX Video Awards.
