Challenge
The Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority (PSTA) needed help creating a transit safety and preparedness community awareness campaign funded by a grant from the United States Department of Homeland Security.
Solutions
Global-5 created a public awareness campaign called PSTA CARES (Community Awareness Results in Everyone’s Safety) to educate Pinellas County residents about the importance of safety on and around PSTA transit vehicles.
CARES CONCEPT AND SLOGAN
We developed the CARES acronym and the slogan Community Awareness Results in Everyone’s Safety to communicate PSTA’s intention to provide a safe passenger environment on its transit service vehicles.
PROJECT BRANDING
We created the PSTA CARES campaign logo, incorporating the PSTA logo and color palette, for use in all campaign visual elements, including a brochure, bilingual presentation materials, video and digital ads, outdoor billboards, transit bus wraps, and bus stop signage.
ADVERTISING CAMPAIGN
We provided creative development and production services for a PSTA CARES advertising campaign that included paid television and radio ads, digital ads and outdoor billboards. The campaign highlighted safety, security, availability of real-time information, and environmentally conscious practices.
TELEVISION AND RADIO AD PRODUCTION
We produced PSTA CARES television and radio commercials from the viewpoint of a college student, a retired couple and a business professional. Services we provided included initial concept and scripting, location scouting, talent auditions, location shoot logistics, post editing, and six-month media placement.
