ORLANDO, Fla. (July 7, 2017) – Global-5 Communications CEO Mary Hamill was recently named a 2017 Clarion Award winner in Marketing Communications for the company’s successful Florida 511 Traveler Information System marketing campaign. The Association for Women in Communications (AWC) presents the Clarion Awards annually.
Global-5 has marketed the Florida Department of Transportation’s (FDOT) Florida 511 Traveler Information System for more than 10 years. Florida 511 is a public service providing free, real-time traffic and travel information throughout the state. Through Global-5’s outreach efforts, Florida 511 reached two billion impressions in 2016. Of those, 99.97 percent came through a strategic combination of owned, shared and earned media; and public service announcements. Only 0.03 percent was from paid media.
