A pair of recent awards raised the profile of two Global-5 projects that showcased our strengths in public meetings and video production. Global-5 won two Silver Awards in the MUSE Creative Awards, an international competition for creative professionals that promotes excellence in media design, production and distribution.
The first award honored our groundbreaking work in planning and conducting a public hearing for a Florida transportation agency during the COVID-19 pandemic. The agency needed to educate residents about an upcoming improvement project at a busy interstate highway interchange. Global-5 implemented a hybrid approach that offered multiple avenues for participation, including real-time online viewing, phone-in options, and in-person meetings.
Global-5 won the second Silver Award for a strategic campaign to educate Florida drivers about roundabouts. We produced a series of short videos covering such topics as the importance of yielding to traffic in a roundabout and how to navigate a roundabout as a pedestrian or bicyclist. We then partnered with the Motor Vehicle Network to distribute the videos to Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles service centers and local tax collector offices. Combined with other community outreach materials, the videos delivered clear, succinct safety messages to their target audience—and earned international recognition.
