Central Florida Construction Career Days (CCD) is a fun and interactive event that introduces high school students to opportunities in the transportation construction industry. The support of that industry is one of the things that makes CCD successful.
The CCD leadership committee, made up of FDOT staff and industry volunteers, is asking local transportation firms to partner with CCD by providing volunteers, donating, providing a learning lab, or being an exhibitor.
- Volunteering — Approximately 250 volunteers are needed to be small group guides, greet buses, or hand out goody bags and lunch.
- Donating — Donations, including water, gift certificates, admission tickets, and promotional merchandise are needed for student goody bags.
- Providing a learning lab — Students learn at hands-on demonstrations in all areas of the industry, and CCD needs new learning lab ideas.
- Being an exhibitor — Exhibits allow students to talk with company representatives and operate heavy equipment.

This year’s Central Florida CCD takes place Feb. 2 – 3 at Orlando’s Central Florida Fairgrounds. Organizers expect approximately 2,000 high school juniors and seniors to attend.
Global-5 is proud to be a CCD partner, providing graphic design, photography, and video production services.
