The National Operations Center of Excellence (NOCoE) recently announced that the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) was selected as the overall winner of the 2020 NOCoE Transportation Systems Management and Operations (TSMO) Awards.<\/p>\n

The award recognizes GDOT\u2019s development of a traffic data management and reporting system that enables the agency to resolve operational issues more efficiently. The automated system is an outstanding example of the benefits of TSMO, an integrated approach that focuses on operational strategies to improve safety and mobility.<\/p>\n

The NOCoE serves the TSMO community by offering technical services such as workshops, webinars and assessments of best practices in the field. The center is a partnership of the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials, the Institute of Transportation Engineers and the Intelligent Transportation Society of America with support from the Federal Highway Administration.<\/p>\n

Having recently joined GDOT\u2019s award-winning intelligent transportation systems team as a consultant, Global-5 is pleased to congratulate the agency on a job well done.<\/p>\n
