ORLANDO, Fla., FEB. 16, 2011 \u2014 Global-5 Communications\u2019 Director of Creative Services John Brown has been singled out for recognition from the Intelligent Transportation Society of Florida (ITS Florida) for his many years of work creating outreach materials ranging from traveling displays to calendars, establishing and managing the association\u2019s brand, and creating the association\u2019s website. ITS Florida awarded Brown the 2010 Certificate of Outstanding Achievement at Transpo2010 on Dec. 14 in Ponte Vedra Beach, and thanked him for raising awareness of ITS Florida and its many activities within the state, nation, and world.<\/p>\n

Brown\u2019s years of volunteer work for ITS Florida include creating a new branded look for the society\u2019s website and its printed materials. \u201cAs a testimony to the strength of John\u2019s design, the branded look he established has also been adopted by [the Intelligent Transportation Society of] America,\u201d ITS Florida President Jesus Martinez said.<\/p>\n

Brown was also the driving force behind the new ITS Florida calendar, which has become the centerpiece of the society\u2019s outreach efforts. The calendar features photographs of ITS projects and products in use throughout Florida, with each year\u2019s best photo placed on the cover.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe calendar has been a huge success for us,\u201d Martinez said. \u201cIt puts ITS Florida front and center, and highlights the cutting edge technology already in use here in Florida.\u201d<\/p>\n
