First Ever Sponsorship Opportunities Include Sponsor Logos on 511 Road Signs within the Restricted Right-of-Way and Geo-Located 511 Mobile Apps
ORLANDO, FL — G5 Sponsorships, a branch of Global-5, Inc., has begun talks with a number of the nation’s leading brands to partner with state Departments of Transportation to sponsor enhanced 511 Traffic Information Systems in various states. For the first time ever, this includes sponsor logos on 511 signs within the restricted right-of-way of a state’s busiest highways.
“We are offering holistic sponsorship packages that bring maximum value to the states and the sponsors,” said G5 Sponsorships’ COO Matt Hamill. “511 is a tremendous resource for drivers, providing real-time updates on traffic conditions. We are looking forward to working with private sector sponsors as partners in providing traffic information that saves drivers time and fuel, reduces stress and enhances safety.”
511 is designated by the Federal Communications Commission and the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) as the nation’s source for free, real-time information about traffic conditions, construction delays and other incidents affecting travel times. The 511 service is available by calling 511 from any landline or cell phone or by visiting the 511 website for that state. On the website, drivers can register for customized alerts for their specific routes sent via email or text, and find instructions to download mobile applications.
The G5 Sponsorships team is offering packages that include sponsor logos on 511 road signs on interstates and other highly traveled roadways, messages on mobile applications, personalized email and text traffic alerts, banner ads for the website, and a sponsor recognition message on the 511 phone call. The goal for the states in seeking sponsors is to offset the cost of operating the 511 system to their taxpayers.
“The 511 program features 511 mobile applications, a website and personalized services, improving the user experience by providing information the way drivers today expect to receive it,” said Eric Strauss, G5 Sponsorships’ Director of Sponsorships. “The traffic information provided by 511 is real-time, accurate and perhaps best of all, free. It’s one more tool to help drivers learn the latest road conditions on their specific route and make adjustments to avoid delays. The sponsors who partner with state Departments of Transportation benefit by aligning their brand with this exceptional consumer service.”
Sponsors enhance their corporate social responsibility goals through these programs, gain billions of annual impressions of their brand, and receive on-going high level recognition from state leaders.
